Dear Friends: as many of you know, we are always busy. Doing the work that we do is very time consuming. So we’re asking for a bit of help. For years, AP has done neighborhood meals on Monday evenings before our worship time together. We find this to be a very important part of what we do in the neighborhood. It promotes unity among our neighbors. Those who eat together are more likely to watch out for one another, & therefore, crime rates go down, & school grades go up. But preparing a meal for 60+ people every Monday takes its toll. Would you be willing to help us? We like to have good, healthy meals… a meat, vegetables, etc. For some in our neighborhood, this is the healthiest meal they get all week. It is also a good chance for us to check in with those around us & see how they’re doing. We need this time. So if you or your group you’re involved in can provide the food for any Monday between now and fall, please let us know. If you know of a restaurant that would like to partner with us, let us know too. You’re also welcome to serve the food (5:30pm) as well. It’s a good chance to see the work that is done on Mondays! This is a great opportunity for youth groups, too! So please check with your friends, family, youth group, Bible study group, Sunday School class, civic group, book club, co-workers, or whoever to help us out a bit! You can email Mary (mary(at)anthonysplot.org) for more information, or go ahead and sign up via VolunteerSpot (click button below). Thank you sooo much!
