“There can be no Christianity without community.” +Count Ludwig von Zinzendorf
From April to October, we gather with neighbors every Monday for a meal in front of the AP house. Its a chance for us to practice radical table fellowship: we sit with our diverse neighbors and get to know each other better over a common meal. This is one way that we are working toward reconciliation and trust in this space. Besides, everyone has to eat, right? In fact, our good friends from the Open Door Community were fond of saying, "Justice is important, but Supper is essential!"
You are welcome to join us for one of these Monday evenings. We also invite you to stick around for our house worship after, a time for considering relevant issues and for Common Prayer. In either case, send an email and let us know you are planning to come.
Frequently, different organizations or congregations help us provide this delicious, nutritious meal. When groups bring the dinner, we are able to spend more time catching up with our neighbors and doing some community organizing. *We are currently done for the 2018 season, however, if you would like to get a head start on 2019, feel free to check out the schedule for next year!
